The Development Process

The development costs associated with planning consents, construction and operations will be managed by Inchst.


This will be subjective to energy generation mix (battery energy storage, solar, wind or other types). For instance circa 200 - 220 acres are needed for a 50MW Solar PV project, but a Battery Energy Storage of similar capacity could be accommodated within 2-4 acres.


Sale of the freehold ownership can be accommodated, provided that the purchaser complies and upholds the terms of the lease agreements.


Minimum of 20 years, with majority of projects will have a 40 year designed life.


Land values will normally have increased due to rental yields being greater than standard agricultural revenues.


Inchst or the dedicated project company will manage the operations and maintenance of the energy generation projects. However some landowner may support operations contractors with local maintenance services.


The dedicated project company will undertake to decommission the energy generation facility at the end of the lease term.
